Here is a brief introduction to Sri Dinesh Rawat:


Born in Kolkata in 1954 in a middle class trader’s family.

Amongst his hobbies – Pen-friendship, cooking, philately and travelling are a few mention

Besides a good swimmer he played football, cricket, badminton and got several awards in games and sports.

Did all his schooling in Kolkata and felicitated  with B. Com; LLB. from the University of Calcutta.

Successfully completed courses on  General Greenhouse Management, Skill of Negotiation, and Foreign Exchange Management.

Worked for Kolkata based companies like Texmaco, HDC and Elecrosteel for 13 years.

Got married to a Sri Lankan Pen-friend in 1981 and became father of 3 children by 1985.

Started own business in 1986 with strong will and great perseverance.

Made extensive  study in Personal Achievement Technique

Accredited to  Graduation in Silva Mind Control, Texas, USA in 1992

Within a span of 15 years he rose up to a premier position in international trading.

Acquired  membership in  major Export Promotion Councils and Chamber of Commerce.

Held directorship in over 20 companies.

Expanded his business realm to Sri Lanka, Myanmar, Bangladesh, Singapore etc.

Travelled widely – over 60 countries of the world including USA, UK, Australia, Europe, Middle East, South East and China.

Came in association with leading businessmen, historians and horticulturists worldwide.

Visited several leading Botanical Gardens and very big Nurseries in the world.

Being enlightened  by Brahamakumaris’ spiritual knowledge in 1987, instantly he converted himself into a totally vegetarian, giving up chain smoking and regular drinking.

Established  Brahma Kumaris Spiritual Retreat at Samukpota in 2002, and started regular classes, seminars and lectures on Rajayoga Meditation.

Delivered lectures and classes on Spiritualism at Green Mall and in many places in India and abroad.

Conducted classes on Personal Achievement Technology like “Journey of Success” , “If We Want We Can Achieve” and “Our Health Is In Our Mind”

He authored  “PALMS FOR INDIA” in 2008, which is greatly appreciated by palm lovers and  acclaimed highly in botanical and horticultural institutions and societies.

Organised seminars and spoken regularly on  Cultivation of Palms  and Future of Nursery Industry in India etc.

Great concern  of Global Warming and strongly influenced to elicit same effectively, by planting millions of trees.

In 2002 he shifted himself from his abode in  Kolkata to a Samukpota  a remote village in South 24 Paraganas and cited ab example.

Founder father of Green Mall, a piece of green heaven spread over an area of 25 Acres,  just 9 kilometers away from Kolkata, where 100% organic cultivation takes place.

Green Mall was inaugurated on 27th Feb 2007 by the Hon’ble Minister for Sunderbans – Sri Kanti Ganguly, in the august presence of Horticulture Minister – Sri Mohanta Chatterjee, MOS PWD Sri Manohar Tirkey and MMIC Sri Faiyaz Ahmed Khan. Dr S K Basu, Dr. G.S. Giri and many other dignitaries and horticulturists.

Made in depth  study and research work  into ancient history of India and plan to write a book on  “GLORIES OF INDIA and also to make a very dynamic film on the same line

Acquired  extensive training,  and did research work in Thailand, USA, Australia and Sri Lanka.

In 2006, he signed a MOU with Indian Botanical Gardens, Howrah by which he would rejuvenate palm collection of the largest and oldest Botanical Garden of India.

In 2007,he also submitted a comprehensive plan to the Municipal Corporation of Kolkata, through which Kolkata could become most beautiful Green city of India.

He has designed a very  effective plan for generating income to 72% of India’s rural population, and makingIndia the largest exporter of trees and plants in the world.

Closely associated with Brahmakumaris initiating programme on Environmental condition and Rural Development.

Closely associated with Patanjali Yoga Peeth, Hardwar and associated with  their initiative on Medicinal plant cultivation and organic farming.

Wrote inspiring songs on environment and global warming and got two albums made as “PRAKITI KI PUKAR’ & “PRAKRITI VANDANA”

However, I have the viewpoint that notebooks are still not quite powerful sufficiently to be a wise decision if you frequently do things that require many power, just like video croping and editing. But for website surfing, word processing, and quite a few other common computer work they are just fine, provided you can’t mind the screen size. Appreciate sharing your opinions.
